๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡บ Electricity prices in HungaryCheapest hours today and tomorrow

Hungary's HUPX day-ahead market is among the most volatile in Central Europe, importing heavily at peak hours. Summer afternoon spikes can be extreme, which makes shifting flexible loads to midday solar hours unusually valuable.

Wholesale prices don't include grid fees, taxes or your supplier's margin. The default is a rough national estimate, so replace it with the figure from your own contract for an accurate number. Hourly differences stay exactly the same either way.

Using hourly prices in Hungary

Prices shown are the Hungary (HU) day-ahead auction results, converted to the local price of one kilowatt-hour at the European Central Bank's daily reference rate. If you're on a dynamic or spot-indexed tariff, the hourly pattern above is exactly what drives the variable part of your bill, so shift EV charging, laundry and water heating into the green hours to save. On a fixed tariff, the chart still shows where the market is heading and whether a dynamic contract could pay off for you.

Every supplier in Hungary buys at these prices

The day-ahead auction produces one price per hour for the whole bidding zone, so suppliers don't differ on the hourly pattern, only on their margin, standing charges and whether your contract passes hourly prices through at all. Grid fees and taxes are added on top of every figure here; switch on Show my real price above to include them.
